Getting Started
To start using the Ultrak KC552xCx stopwatch, you need to insert a CR2032 lithium battery into the battery compartment on the back of the device. To open the battery compartment, use a coin or a screwdriver to turn the cover counterclockwise and remove it. Then, insert the battery with the positive (+) side facing up and replace the cover by turning it clockwise until it locks into place.
After inserting the battery, you need to set the time and date on the stopwatch. To do this, follow these steps:
Press and hold the MODE button for 2 seconds until the hour digits start flashing.
Press the START/STOP button to adjust the hour. Press and hold the button to increase or decrease the hour rapidly.
Press the MODE button again to move to the minute digits. Repeat step 2 to adjust the minutes.
Press the MODE button again to move to the second digits. Repeat step 2 to adjust the seconds.
Press the MODE button again to move to the year digits. Repeat step 2 to adjust the year.
Press the MODE button again to move to the month digits. Repeat step 2 to adjust the month.
Press the MODE button again to move to the day digits. Repeat step 2 to adjust the day.
Press the MODE button again to exit the time and date setting mode.
You can also switch between 12-hour and 24-hour formats by pressing and holding the START/STOP button while in time mode.
Using the Stopwatch
The Ultrak KC552xCx stopwatch has three modes: time mode, stopwatch mode, and countdown timer mode. You can switch between these modes by pressing the MODE button.
Time Mode
In time mode, the stopwatch displays the current time and date on the LCD screen. You can also view the alarm status and temperature by pressing the LAP/RESET button. To set or cancel an alarm, follow these steps:
In time mode, press and hold the LAP/RESET button for 2 seconds until ALM appears on the screen and the hour digits start flashing.
Press the START/STOP button to adjust the hour. Press and hold the button to increase or decrease the hour rapidly.
Press the LAP/RESET button again to move to the minute digits. Repeat step 2 to adjust the minutes.
Press the LAP/RESET button again to activate or deactivate the alarm. When ON appears on the screen, the alarm is activated. When OFF appears on the screen, the alarm is deactivated.
Press the MODE button again to exit the alarm setting mode.
To stop the alarm sound when it goes off, press any button.
Stopwatch Mode
In stopwatch mode, the stopwatch measures elapsed time, lap time, and split time up to 9 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds. You can also store up to 100 lap times in the memory. To use the stopwatch, follow these steps:In stopwatch mode, press the START/STOP button to start the stopwatch.
Press the LAP/RESET button to record a lap time and display it on the screen for 10 seconds. The lap number and split time will also be shown on the upper row of the screen. The stopwatch will continue running in the background.
Repeat step 2 as many times as you want to record more lap times. The stopwatch can store up to 100 lap times in the memory.
Press the START/STOP button to stop the stopwatch.
Press the LAP/RESET button to reset the stopwatch to zero.
To recall the stored lap times, follow these steps:In stopwatch mode, press and hold the LAP/RESET button for 2 seconds until MEM appears on the screen and the last lap time is displayed.
Press the START/STOP button to scroll through the lap times from the last one to the first one. The lap number, split time, and lap time will be shown on the screen.
Press the LAP/RESET button to exit the memory recall mode.
Countdown Timer Mode
In countdown timer mode, the stopwatch counts down from a preset time up to 9 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds. When the countdown reaches zero, an alarm will sound for 30 seconds or until you press any button. To use the countdown timer, follow these steps:In countdown timer mode, press and hold the MODE button for 2 seconds until SET appears on the screen and the hour digits start flashing.
Press the START/STOP button to adjust the hour. Press and hold the button to increase or decrease the hour rapidly.
Press the MODE button again to move to the minute digits. Repeat step 2 to adjust the minutes.
Press the MODE button again to move to the second digits. Repeat step 2 to adjust the seconds.
Press the MODE button again to exit the countdown timer setting mode.
Press the START/STOP button to start or stop the countdown timer.
Press the LAP/RESET button to reset the countdown timer to the preset time.
Troubleshooting
